Confirmation Ministry

Confirmation Ministry is a pastoral and educational ministry of the church which begins at baptism. Christian formation begins when a child becomes a member of the church at baptism. Through the support of family, godparents, Sunday Church School teachers, Pastors and other church members your child has been growing in the Christian faith. We hope that this has included regular Sunday worship and Sunday School. Holy Communion probably began in the fifth grade.

During the year 2005-2006 the 7th and 8th graders will be studying the Old and New Testaments. In the Fall of 2006 the curriculum will change to cover Martin Luther's Small Catechism. Seventh and eighth graders will meet on Wednesday nights from 7:25 to 8:45 p.m. They are also expected to be in Sunday Church School at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. Worship takes place on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. and at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.
